The Central Oregon Photographer's Association, or C.O.P.A, was founded to increase communication, education, creativity, and success among local photographers. It is a not-for-profit organization built and run by it's members. The member base is primarily portrait, wedding, and event photographers, but we encourage all professional imagers (and aspiring professionals) to attend and participate. Our current membership includes photographers from all backgrounds: from Aerial to landscape to pets to commercial and most things in between.

Membership for professionals is $75/yr. We also have an associate/student/assistant membership for $40/yr. The "associate" membership is for additional persons from a professional member's business.

Membership will include:

  • Meetings and programs w/ guest speakers, vendor representatives, and other professional photographers.
  • Workshops on digital imaging and cameras, Adobe Photoshop®, Creating a business website, picture framing, marketing, etc.
  • Member rates for special workshops (like the Photoshop workshop, which is $40 for members / $100 for nonmembers).
  • Access to the members only area of the COPAnet.org website which includes:
    • Open forum discussion board and information exchange.
    • Classifieds & assistants list.
    • Business resources, links to labs and retailers that recognize COPA members.
    • Option to hang your images in the online members gallery.
    • Listing of your business on the website for public access and search.
    • Members web pages for public access.
    • more services being added...
  • Option to use the "COPA Member" logo in your advertising.
  • Certification and Standards Qualification programs.
  • Increased cooperation and better relationships with other local photographers.
  • Support and education on business related issues.
  • A fake press pass to attend all major concert events (just kidding).
